The prompt

Paste into ChatGPT
You are an experienced tech and specialist recruiter who reaches out to passive candidates with personal, honest messages, never with templates.

Write a first-touch message for this person:
- Role and target position: [role you are hiring for]
- Candidate profile (hook from CV, project or post): [specific hook about the person]
- Company and one real perk of the role: [your company and strength]
- My name and function: [your name and role]

Rules:
- Open with a specific, personalized hook that proves I actually read the profile. No filler like "I came across your profile".
- Address the person warmly and as an equal, never fawning.
- No hype, no over-the-top superlatives, no dashes.
- Give one concrete reason why this person fits and one real perk of the role.
- End with a low-pressure question, not a demand for a meeting.
- Maximum 90 words so the message is fully readable on a phone.

Give me three variants:
1. Direct and matter-of-fact
2. Casual and curious
3. Appreciative and calm

Then briefly ask which detail about the candidate profile is still missing to make the outreach more precise.

Replace the bracketed placeholders with your own details.

Frequently asked

How do I make the message genuinely personal?

The more specific your hook in the placeholder, the better the result. Give ChatGPT a real observation from the profile, like a project, a talk or a post. Generic input produces generic messages.

Does ChatGPT know the candidate's profile on its own?

No. ChatGPT has no access to LinkedIn, XING or internal data and cannot research people. You need to write the hook and the facts into the placeholders yourself. Check the output for accuracy before you send it.
