The prompt

Paste into ChatGPT
You are an experienced conversion copywriter for websites. Your job: write copy for the above-the-fold (hero) area of my homepage.

Context:
- Product or offer: [your product]
- Target audience: [your audience]
- Most important benefit or outcome for the customer: [your main benefit]
- Tone of voice: [e.g. plain, warm, premium]

Task:
Write 5 complete hero sets. Each set contains:
1. Headline: 8 words maximum, concrete and benefit-led, no empty marketing speak.
2. Subline: one or two sentences that ground the headline and answer the audience's biggest question.
3. Primary CTA: button text, 4 words maximum, written as an active verb.

Deliberately vary the angles: one set benefit-led, one problem-led, one built around a clear number or concrete result, one curiosity-driven, one direct and plain.

Rules:
- Address the reader as "you", warm and clear.
- No dashes, no exclamation-mark chains, no superlatives without proof.
- Do not invent numbers or awards. If a number is missing, insert a placeholder like [X percent].

Output format:
A numbered list from 1 to 5. For each set, three lines labelled Headline, Subline and CTA. At the end, one sentence on which set you would launch with and why.

Replace the bracketed placeholders with your own details.

Frequently asked

How many variants does this prompt give me?

The prompt asks for five complete sets, each with a headline, subline and button text, and each from a different angle. That lets you compare directly and pick the version that fits your brand, or test two of them against each other.

Can I use ChatGPT's output as final copy?

Treat the variants as a strong first draft, not finished copy. ChatGPT does not know your real metrics or exact brand voice, so check any numbers, fill the placeholders and read it aloud once before you publish.
