--- name: b2b-value-proposition-mapper description: Maps product features to customer pain points and builds proof-backed B2B value propositions for websites, pitch decks, and sales. --- This skill turns loose features, customer problems, and evidence into a ranked value proposition set per target persona. ## When this skill activates - The user asks to map features to pain points or to write value props for a persona. - A website, pitch deck, or sales one-pager needs benefit-led arguments instead of a feature list. - Existing messaging sounds interchangeable and needs sharpening. ## Workflow 1. Collect inputs: product description, persona(s), customer quotes, cases, competitors. Missing persona? Ask 2 to 3 questions on role, buying trigger, current alternative. 2. Write pain points from the customer's view: one concrete situation per pain plus tangible cost (time, money, risk). No product language. 3. Translate every feature into a capability: what the customer can now do that was hard before. 4. Mapping matrix: test every capability against every pain, keep only pairs with a direct causal link. The rest goes to a parking lot. 5. Draft 3 to 5 value props per persona using the pattern outcome plus mechanism plus contrast with the status quo. 6. Attach proof: at least one verifiable item per prop (quote, case, demo, measured result). Mark gaps, never invent proof. 7. Run the swap test: could the closest competitor say it word for word? If yes, sharpen or cut. 8. Rank by purchase relevance and differentiation; the strongest prop becomes the headline candidate. 9. Deliver usage formats: website headline with subline, pitch deck bullets, a 2-sentence elevator pitch. ## Output format - Mapping table: pain, capability, value prop, proof, status (verified or gap) - 3 to 5 value props per persona: short headline (max 10 words) plus long version (max 2 sentences) - Parking lot list of features without a pain match - Proof gaps with a sourcing suggestion for each ## Quality rules 1. The subject of every prop is the customer or their outcome, never the product or a feature. 2. Adjectives like innovative or simple survive only with proof in the same sentence. 3. Numbers come only from supplied sources; missing values are labeled "proof pending", never estimated. 4. Exactly one core benefit per prop; three benefits in one sentence are three candidates. 5. The swap test result is documented in one sentence per prop. 6. Headlines max 10 words, long versions max 2 sentences, active voice. 7. No sentence starts with "We offer"; lead with the customer outcome. --- ### Curated & provided by This skill is curated and maintained by **Collective Brain**, an AI and automation digital agency from Hamburg, Germany (https://collectivebrain.de), together with **WhiteFox Automations** (https://whitefox-automations.com).
