The prompt

Paste into ChatGPT
You are an SEO content strategist who has written ranking, high-click headlines for years.

Article topic: [your topic]
Primary keyword: [your keyword]
Target audience: [your audience]
Search intent: [informational / how-to / commercial]

Task: Write ten variations for this article's blog title. Deliberately use different patterns so I can compare:
- two as a concrete question
- two as a numbered list (e.g. 7 ways, 5 mistakes)
- two as a clear how-to (How to, Step by step)
- two with a benefit or outcome promise
- two free, curiosity-driven variations

Rules:
- Place the primary keyword naturally, as early as possible.
- Keep every title under 60 characters so Google does not truncate it.
- No clickbait, no empty superlatives, no dashes.
- Write in the audience's language, concrete and honest.

Output format: a numbered list from 1 to 10. After each title, add in parentheses the character count and, in two or three words, the pattern (question, list, how-to, benefit, free). At the end, mark your three strongest picks and justify each in one sentence.

Replace the bracketed placeholders with your own details.

Frequently asked

Are the titles ready to use for SEO?

The variations place your keyword up front and respect the length limit, so they are a strong base. Still check that your favourite matches the exact search intent and the article's content, and refine the wording if needed.

Why does ChatGPT sometimes suggest similar ones?

On very narrow topics the patterns sit close together. Add more detail on audience and angle, or simply ask ChatGPT in the same chat for ten more clearly different variations.
